The Joint Childcare Facilities in Olomouc provide comprehensive interdisciplinary care to the children entrusted to them. The services include medical, nursing, psychological, social, physiotherapeutic and educational care, which is provided on the basis of the current knowledge of theory and practice in the respective fields so as to maximally respect the child’s individuality and to ensure the child’s optimal overall development.

Children are admitted primarily on the following grounds:

• injunctive relief
• a court ruling on institutional care
• at the request of an authority of a municipality with extended competence
• agreement with the legal representatives of the child

The stay of the children is temporary until the situation as a result of which they were admitted is resolved. If return to the biological family is impossible, children move to substitute family care. On average, 30 children find a new home each year..
